about

This song is about how I experience depression. For me, I generally experience this when I'm not working on new music or when I've hit a wall. Music has always been my creative outlet, so when I realize I'm not progressing with writing it sends me into a self conscious spiral which makes me feel completely unmotivated to do anything. What I really like about this song is the upbeat music countering with depressing lyrics, it has a hopeful note that the feeling will pass.

-Brian Strean

lyrics

I'm tired all the time

this is not where I wanted to be

I'm sick of feeling sorry for myself

This is me demotivated

I'm inadequate again

You don't see me as I want you to

I'm invisible again

You can't see me as I need you to

You can't see me cause I can't be myself

I’m inadequate, I’m inadequate

I'm surrounded by these faces I don't recognize

Even worse they bring the worst out of me

I've never been this deliberate until right now

Excuse me if I see myself out and burn myself out

I'm inadequate again

You don't see me as I want you to

I'm invisible again

You don't see me, you don't see me

You don't see me as I want you to

You can't see me cause I can't be myself

You don't see, you don't see me

You don't see, you don't see me

I'm tired all the time

This is me demotivated, demotivated

I'm inadequate again

You don't see me as I need you to

I'm invisible again

You don't see me, you don't see me

You don't see me as I want you to

You can't see me cause I can't be myself

I can't see it now but somehow it'll all work out

And you can't see me cause I hate myself

I’m inadequate, I’m inadequate

I'm inadequate
